Frequently Asked Questions ?

Why do I need to take a multivitamin if I eat healthy foods
and exercise on average 3 times per week?

Answer: The foods you eat contain certain nutrients that come in the form of vitamins, minerals, water, enzymes, amino acids and fats. Nutrients are involved in all body processes from combating infection to repairing tissue to thinking. The problem with most of us is that we do not get what we need from our "modern diet". Also air, food and water supply is full of new chemical toxins that the body has higher needs than 20 years ago. Exercise also increases the demand for nutrients, yet more active individuals are choosing nutrient-deficient energy foods for refueling (high sugary carbs). You would, in essence need to eat only organic foods in large quantities to reach the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) that you would consume in a single multivitamin such as our Ultimate One. Taking vitamins and minerals in their proper balance is also important to the proper functioning of all vitamins. For example, in order for bioflavonoids to work properly, they must be taken along with vitamin C. By taking a multivitamin you are getting these synergistic combinations of nutrients that you would not achieve by just eating healthy foods.

Why should I take your multi-vitamin when
I can pay less for another brand?

Answer: Although other brands may appear less expensive, we need to take a look at the overall benefits including the forms of various vitamins and minerals. The Ultimate One contains active co-enzyme forms of B2, B6 and B12 that can be up to ten times more bioavailable than the forms used in other brand names. Other brands do not contain these forms of vitamins. Ultimate Ones contain "bisglycinate and citrate/malate" form of minerals for superior absorption. No other multivitamin in the marketplace uses this advanced mineral technology. The Ultimate line provides more dosage per dollar value than many other brands. You may be paying less for another brand but the question is, “how much are you absorbing?”. If the vitamin and mineral forms are not highly bioavailable you are throwing your money away!

I am currently taking a saw palmetto product and I was wondering if I can still take the Ultimate One for Men 50+ as it contains saw palmetto in the base? Will I be taking too much?

Answer: It is safe for you to take both products. There is a very small amount of saw palmetto in the base of the multi-vitamin for a synergistic blend to round out the product. Our herbal base sets us apart from other multis in that respect. These herbs are safe to take on a daily basis.

I am a 52 year old woman who is still very active. Can I take the Ultimate One for women/active or should I take the Ultimate One 50+?

Answer: You can most definitely take the women’s active multiple vitamin. Active women require higher amounts of B vitamins due to their energy enhancing properties. Higher mineral potencies such as iron and chromium help improve exercise performance. A protective antioxidant base provides better recovery from exercise. The Ultimate line is based on gender, age and activity levels so by all means if you are more active, choose the appropriate activity level that suits your individual needs.

The multiple vitamin that I currently take has a colorful coating that makes it easier to swallow. Do you have a special coating like this for your product?

Answer: The colorful coating that you make reference to is an artificial coloring that most likely contains preservatives. Our pills are coated with a vegetable based coating which makes them easier to swallow without the use of any artificial colours or flavours to save cost. We are concerned about your health as you are, therefore we choose not use these potentially harmful ingredients.
